The Real Nativity Colouring Sheet
We have been well trained to believe that Mary rode on a donkey and Jesus was born in a stable, while his birth was proclaimed by angels who flew with wings. These ideas have all been invented through traditions over the centuries but don't appear in the bible.
So what DID happen on that first Christmas morning? Was Jesus in a wooden manger? No - he would most likely be in a hollow in the ground lined with straw. Was Jesus out in the cold, alone and far away from everyone else? No again, he would have been in a home in a bustling village. What did the home look like?
This colouring sheet helps us to explore this different but real setting for Christmas. Far from the picture postcard image of a wooden stable and a starlit sky, we've carefully put together a lot of fun little ideas to get people thinking about the Biblical and archaeological facts surrounding Jesus' birth. Placing Jesus in a home setting rather than out in the cold allows us to talk about the importance of the incarnation - of God coming to live with us. In our skin. In our context. He is welcomed, not excluded. Angels don't have wings when they are messengers of God. Mangers aren't made of wood. Homes contain animals. All these ideas are there for you to learn and explore as you colour and engage.
These sheets are available either as individual home downloads, or for church licensing (to then copy locally and deliver to your congregation). Or we can print and mail to you hard copy prints to whatever size you like.
Note on Church Licensing:
We understand that some ministries span multiple churches. We want to support your ministry, but we also want to keep Eve2 going and generating new products for your ministry. Please buy one license per distinct church you oversee wherever possible. If you have a lot of churches and you feel that will be too much, please buy as many as you think you can afford. Please though do not abuse this offer. It is not appropriate for you to buy a single license for an entire deanery or circuit. This license should be used in each case for one locally distinct congregation wherever possible. If you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Coronavirus Priests Mug - Never Mess
PLEASE NOTE - ALL ORDERS PLACED NOW WILL BE SHIPPED IN JANUARY 2021. After the craziness of 2020 for clergy up and down the country, the very least you can do is treat yourself to a commemorative mug to sit back and enjoy a good brew in. Here's a range of different designs for you to choose from.
B-Grade mugs now available as an option. These will be slightly less than what we consider our normal retail standard. If a mug is for some reason particularly poor quality we will throw it in the bin. The ones we have to look at and think "is that ok?" will go in the B-stock pile. Usually issues are a bit of blurring on the text, although it will still be fully readable, or some kind of extra marks from the print process which shouldn't be there. B-mugs are still great and by buying one you help Eve2 and the environment. Thank you.
AWAITING NEW STOCK (Approx 28th Jan - please keep ordering and we'll ship as soon as they arrive) 3 Layer Face masks available in 4 different colours.
Each order contains 5 masks of the same colour. We are unable to mix colours at this time.
These masks are made from fully FairTrade certified, 100% Organic Cotton manufactured to the highest standards of environmental and human care.
A mixed set of coasters for clergy. 4 coasters with a mix of silly and serious messages to dot around your study to keep visitors entertained or gently prodded.
Everyone knows the REAL story of Christmas doesn't include Camels, Donkeys, Stables or wise men ... right? Wrong! This is the mug for those who know AND CARE ... probably a little bit too much ... about the difference between a Biblical Christmas and a Traditional Christmas.
A mixed set of coasters for clergy. 4 coasters with a mix of 4 Bible verses chosen to be gently helpful to be dotted around a pastoral setting for people coming to talk about life's ups and downs.
There are a bunch of "This Family believes..." designs floating around. This one we've tailor made to suit most clergy families living in vicarages, manses, and rectories. We hope you find it amusing!
The Sunday School favourite song "I'm in the Lord's army" said we may not zoom o'er the enemy ... but boy did we show the enemy in 2020 how we could zoom with the best of them!!
